An alert is a trigger, not an order

A price alert says that a level was touched. It does not place, move or close anything, which is why an alert and a pending order are worth keeping apart in the head as well as in the platform.

The practical consequence is that a phone left alone still requires a decision when the notification arrives; what the app removes is the need to keep a chart open in order to notice.

Exness Go watches a narrower set

Exness Go is the second official app, and it covers Standard and Pro accounts. On the watchpost reading that is the whole difference: quotes and alerts behave the same way, but the account selector reaches two account types instead of five.

Both apps sign in to the same Exness account, so an alert set in one and a position opened in the other are about the same balance; what changes is which accounts appear in the list.

Which account the screen is showing

The app switches between Standard, Pro, Raw Spread, Zero and demo accounts without a new sign-in, so the account selector is the single most important thing on screen before any one-click action.

Because the same account is also open in MetaTrader and in the Personal Area, a position closed on the phone is closed everywhere; there is no second copy to reconcile later.

What a small screen is good and bad at

Reading one instrument, reacting to one alert and checking one position are tasks a phone does well. Comparing several timeframes, or laying out many instruments at once, is where the same account is better opened on a computer.

Treating the phone as the monitoring surface and the desktop as the analysis surface keeps both doing what their screens allow.

The app reads the same account as the Personal Area and MetaTrader, which is why the right-hand column matters as much as the middle one.
